The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that yesterday a male guest died after suffering a heart attack while visiting Walt Disney World’s Blizzard Beach water park. After reportedly feeling ill while climbing the stairs to a water slide, the man was taken to Celebration hospital where he later died. My condolences to the family. No one wants to lose a loved one, and especially not while on vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth.
The guest’s age and name have not been released, but the family did mention he had a pre-existing heart condition. According to the Sentinel this is the 10th death involving Disney World rides and water-park attractions
since late 2004.
