Disney Loses Round in Winnie-the-Pooh Case

A judge rejected surviving AA Milne family members claims on the Winnie The Pooh Characters against the Slesingers, current copyright holders. Disney was not a party to the case, but they had bankrolled the family members hoping to do an end run on other litigation dealing with license fees and proper payments for the rights to the Pooh characters. That case is still working its way through the courts. (Read)
