I’m reading this review of the High School Musical Concert Tour stop in Orlando and it occurs to me that this HSM phenomenon is very similar to the last few incarnations of the Mickey Mouse Club. The 90s version spawned the group "The Party" and solo stars: Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Justin Timberlake. Plus there were some successful transitions to acting as well.
HSM is now generating a new generation of Disney Stars. Plus we have the Cheetah Girls and Hannah Montana (whose current album is outselling todays mega stars).
So do you think America is ready for the next version of The Mickey Mouse Club? I do. Just get a couple Disney Channel Stars to seed the initial group and grow from there. Have guest appearances from the big names then throw in some performances at the parks and a holiday tour and you’ve got another Disney dynasty.
