Holiday Decorating Tips from a Disney Expert

Want to add a little something extra to your holiday decorations this year? Then read these six great tips from the team responsible for decorating the Disneyland Resort every Christmas. Here are the first three..

1. Pick a Theme and follow it inside and outside the house.
2. Customize trees for your kids with some of their trinket toys (McD’s happy meal toys, small dolls, etc)
3. Use LED Lights for long term money and energy savings

Our goal for our house is to have a Nightmare Before Xmas theme, so we can put up decorations for Halloween and then just augment them to make them themed to a NBC Xmas.

I would also advice checking out eBay for great deals on Christmas stuff in January when everyone is clearing out their extra stock. (Read)

Our decorating has become more and more
Disney over the past few years. Sure, we always had plenty of Disney stuff, but now living so close to DLR it is near impossible to get out of there this time of year without a ton of holiday decor.

    It’s fun though.
