High School Musical hits the stage in New York

Stagedoor Manor, a renowned kids/teens theatre summer camp based in Sheldrake, N.Y. has been granted permission by Disney to stage the first ‘on stage’ version of Disney’s successful movie musical High School Musical.

Other confirmed amateur productions include Green Valley High School (Henderson, NV), James H. Blake High School (Silver Spring, MD), Woodhills High School (Pittsburgh, PA), Upper Darby High School (Fort Washington, PA), Woodlands High School (The Woodlands, TX), Steven F. Austin High School (Austin, TX) and New Albany High School (New Albany, IN).

  1. When we put on HSM at Green Valley, we had a full house during EVERY SHOW.
    we did 8 night performances. And 2 day performances.
    we also had 4 dance clinics for kids, where we taught them a few dances from the play. 2 groups were taught in the morning, set to perform at both of the day shows.
    & the other 2 groups performed at the night shows.
    They sat in chairs, all around the seats in the GVHS theatre, and during the finale, all the kids got up and danced in the aisles, along with the GVHS theatrical performers.

    Our production was a TERRIFIC & UNFORGETTABLE HIT!
