Ratatouille Trailer Offline

I knew it was too good to be true. The French version of the ‘Ratatouille’ trailer has been taken off line at Disney’s request. That makes sense, why let it steal the thunder from ‘Cars’. The english version of the trailer is still slated to run infront of ‘Cars’ starting June 9th anyway… so the wait isn’t long.

For those of you who can’t wait, however, Ain’t It Cool News has a translated transcript from the french version.

Spoilers about the preview below the cut

For those of you who did see the trailer what did you think? I
found the animation quite good, but also almost un-pixar like
(something about the cityscape, the restaurant scene, and the purple
shirt). Once we got to the sewer it looked much more Pixar.

Also, and I’m sure people said this about Mickey Mouse in 1928, who came up with the idea for a Rat as the main character?

As usual with these early trailers almost none of the plot is revealed. So the cute characters, the animation, and the Pixar name are supposed to excite us enough.

  1. I’m interested in finding merchandise of this film for a huge event for pet rat lovers in September. Anyone have any info?
