Disney’s Hit Musical… not what you think

Disney has another hit musical on their hands. No, it’s not Tarzan on Broadway, that still hasn’t opened yet. Instead it’s High School Musical a made for TV musical that’s really scored with the ‘tweens. Not only is the show popular, but the High School Musical soundtrack is currently ranked #2 at Amazon and has been ranked #1 in the last few days. You can also download the High School Musical Soundtrack at iTunes.

All you Newsies fans should check this out too. High School Musical was directed by Kenny Ortega who directed-choreographed the cult-hit Newsies. (I completely forgot that Christian Bale (Batman Returns) was in Newsies… wow) Could High School Musical be the new Grease?

The show next airs on The Disney Channel Feb. 13 at 8 PM (ET).

    Vanessa is my cousin. She plays Gabriella. The sountrack is awsome and she worked so hard. I got to go on the set. So cool. I am the girl who hands Sharpy her micrphone.

    Ok, i want to start of saying I loved High School Musical, it was truly amazing. My girlfriend and I watch it all the time. But i need one clarification. It has been rumored that there is a website that says that the singing voice of Zac Efron in the movie is not really his, that someone else is doing a voice over for him. Can someone please truthfully clarify this please!! thanks!

    OMG I LOVE HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL I WISH THAT I COULD SING WIT THEM ESPECIALLY VANESSA SHES THE BEST!!!

    Zac really does sing…but he could not reach the high notes. So, they mixed his voice with someone else’s for those high notes. When a rumor starts, it fires up, huh!
