Universal Orlando raises prices completing the trifecta

Universal Studios Orlando has raised its admission prices as of today. That completes the trifecta of major themeparks in Central Florida. Not exactly unexpected.

However, I would like to have seen something a little more creative from a pair of theme parks that had dismal growth last year and have yet to open a new attraction at their Islands of Adventure themepark since shortly after its opening nearly 7 years ago! Ticket prices were $44 for a one day/one park pass in 1999 and will be $59.75 today with fewer attractions to enjoy.  No wonder their numbers are in the tank.
