Narnia Opens Today

Narnia opens in theatres today. It will be interesting to see if Disney’s strategy of marketing the movie to christian churches and fantasy fans will work. I’m horrible at guessing opening weekend numbers, but I’m predicting an opening weekend take of $56.1 million. What’s your guess?

Also check out this quicktime application developed to walk you through the world of Narnia. It starts with a preview of the movie and then offers other interactive elements. My suggestion is to open the link in a new window as it does redraw your screen real estate if you use tabbed browsing.

Also opening today is the Narnia walk-through exhibit at MGM-Disney Studios in Orlando. My goal is to see both this weekend, but I just saw Harry Potter IV, so my records not so good there either.

One Response to Narnia Opens Today

I am extremely excited to see this movie. I really hope Disney does a good job with it, because if some of the creatures are not done properly, it will look EXTREMELY cheesy, as have almost all other reproductions of the book.
