Rumors have been swirling fast around the Muppets. From new voices, to new movies, once Disney bought the rights from the Jim Henson Company you knew there would be some changes. Along with that comes rumors. However this latest rumor seems to be really out there…. that the Muppets will return in a reality tv show.
The show would be formatted as a talent contest where the public has a vote in which new muppet will join the original cast. The only way I think this would work is if it was satire (which you have to admit has been one of the Muppet’s core roots). So I hope that’s the route Disney is on here.

This is actually old news. And it is slated to be a satire. A “mock-reality” show in the vein of “Joe Schmoe” or “Spinal Tap.”
