I’ve always heard the story of how the Mark Twain sternwheeler nearly sank on opening day at Disneyland. It was during the dedication ceremony, everyone on board crowded to dock side to see the dedication and the Mark Twain listed heavily to that side to the point of taking on water. You can see it on the video of the dedication.
Now a cast member from opening day has told his story of how he actually sank the Mark Twain later that same day to the Deseret News. Believe it or not.
