Model of Disneyland at Opening Day

Part of the celebration at Disneyland for it’s 50th Anniversary includes a museum hall. A center piece of this exhibit is the Imagineer constructed scale model of Disneyland as it was on opening day. Russ Ullner has been good enough to post a few pics at his Epson PhotoCenter. (Start with this photo and click forward for close ups.)

The backstage areas were so empty then and much of what we now know as Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, and Critter Country just didn’t exist. Go check them out.
