Success at Disneyland already

If there is already one good thing to say about Disneyland’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, scheduled to kick off on May 5th, it is that the music merchandise is out of this world awesome.

First there is the incredible collection of albums being put out by Randy Thornton, who is interviewed in the 2nd issue of Tales the LaughingPlace.com Magazine (it’s the perfect replacement for the now-dead Disney Magazine, but that’s another story), and Disney Records. There is the 7 CD limited edition box set "A Musical History of Disneyland" that everyone has been raving about. Word is out that the limited edition set has already sold out at Disneydirect.com and that the supply at Disneyland and Walt Disney World is expected to fly off the shelves when they’re released on May 5th. But don’t worry, they’ve also announced that the same set would be released in an ‘unlimited’ special edition.

Dl50thcdAlso available from Disneyland and Disney Records is the new 2-CD Park Exclusive Official Album. It includes the 50th anniversary song Remember When by LeAnn Rimes, the theme from the Remember Dreams Come True fireworks show and many more newly released songs (see link for a track list). Everyone on the boards is raving about this new Official Album. I can’t wait to get my hands on one.
