This will come as a suprise to no one: Pixar Animation is under a lot of pressure to turn out winner after winner. Forbes.com quotes a Bank of America Secuties research firm as being weak on Pixar should they ever stumble.
I’m not so sure, I think the balance of power has shifted away from Disney to Pixar and, as long as Pixar continues a strong branding campaign, will be so for the foreseeable future. Not only did Disney fire all their talent in hand drawn animation they’re having a hard time getting people to work for them in computer animation. Apparently everyone remembers what happened to the animators who worked on Dinosaur with a promise of heading up a new Disney CG Studio… they were all let go. Plus if Disney and Pixar do go their separate ways, I think animators want the chance to go with Pixar instead.
