Tigger Not Guilty; Toad Still Guilty

Attorney Jeffrey Kaufman, who also moonlights as Tigger and Goofy at Walt Disney World, first strapped on Tigger’s tail and then put on a neck cloth, the enormous orange and black-striped head and two large orange mitts to show jurors how the costume limits peripheral vision and arm movements.

“This is my friend* Tigger,” Kaufman said while pulling the Tigger costume out of a box. “It might spoil the magic for most people, you know?”

Michael Chartrand, the man accused of fondling a 13-year old girl while costumed as Tigger at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, has been found not guilty of lewd and lascivious molestation. Maybe this nightmare will finally be over for the poor guy. Should he get his job back as Tigger? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

*Note: When out of costume Disney Zoo Crew (those who wear the costumes and aid the walk around characters) refer to the characters they play as ‘my friend’ so as not to ruin the magic for any innocents who might be in hearing range.
