Here’s a guy I have something in common with (warning links to /. conversation:ed). His father worked for WED Imagineering around the same time my grandfather did. One of my best memories at the park is walking through the control room in the Haunted Mansion, seeing the blueprint of the attraction on the wall, and seeing my grandfather’s name there. I just found an original full size working version of that blueprint (I own a more recently created copy) framed. Unfortunately it’s a bit outside my budget at $3800.00. I’ll send a Gmail invite to the first person who posts my grandfather’s name in the comments. (Thanks to Cory at BoingBoing!)

I don’t know if it’s too late, but I believe your grandfather’s name was Vic Greene. I found your amazing blog through Jerry Beck’s Cartoon Brew.com: what an awesome site you have! There is something magical about what WED and Imagineering were capable of in the past, and its terrific to hear about it from your perspective. Despite the downfall of the Disney corporation in the last few years, the true spirit of Walt’s company lives on because of people like you. Thanks!
